Disbarred is a rock cover band based in Palm Beach County, Florida that plays a wide variety of high-energy rock and hard rock covers. The name is a tongue-in-cheek dig at the all-lawyer makeup of the band when it began in 2009 and the name still applies as four of the current five bandmembers today are practicing lawyers. Although often requested to play 90’s grunge, the band can and does smoothly switch gears to a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s rock and metal without missing a proverbial beat. By way of example, the band has in recent shows covered: Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rush, AC/DC, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Iron Maiden, Journey, Guns n’ Roses, Radiohead, Alter Bridge, and more. Disbarred’s extensive song catalogue covers the well-known favorites from the bands above although, from time to time, the band members indulge in their favorite album cuts when the show calls for a deeper dive into a beloved artist’s work.
The band has been in existence since 2009 and in this very lineup since 2019. Disbarred regularly plays local theaters and rock bars, outdoor festivals, corporate shows, and private parties with venues ranging from Wellington Amphitheater and Roger Dean Stadium to The Bamboo Room in Lake Worth as well as Respectable’s and Roxy’s in West Palm Beach and the Kelsey Theater in Lake Park. Disbarred has a loyal local following and expects packed houses at every show.
